Shrewsbury Storm Results in Damage
The chimney flashing did not withstand the strong winds from a storm. Rainwater leaked into the attic crawl and soaked the insulation and the rafters. The first step is to close up the damaged area with tarps to cut off the leakage. The ceiling, which as pictured was damaged and sagging, was taken down as a step in the demolition process. Cleanup and removal illustrate a neat situation (notice the plastic covering to protect items) before the final remediation step which was to spray an antimicrobial product to protect against contaminants and fungal growth. SERVPRO of Shrewsbury / Westborough strives to offer our customer the most efficient and cost-effective methods to restore his or her home to a pre-damage condition "Like it never even happened."
